But then you reduce a whole lot of variety if you restrict it, plus it makes no sense to restrict pilots who've crosstrained, and whol fly ships that are not of the same race as they will fight for.

From a dev post a while ago about it(was months ago, think in one of the topics about the cluster upgrade), the dev said it could only be done at downtime(hence one of the big reasons for the server upgrade as loads cannot be dynamically balanced)...

you link to it by either right clicking your name and selecting link fleet after you'br set the fleet to self invite, or you can right click any channel you are in and do it I believe. Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.
